The Royal Soil harvest point is directly south of the Alltrades Abbey.

To find the Lava Lump harvest node: 1. Leave the Abbey and travel to the coastline north of the Abbey. Head west left along the coast until you hit mountains. Follow the mountains around until you reach the node. The Pointaven Tree is actually between the node and the Abbey. Dwell in peace in the home of your own being, and the messenger of Death will not be able to touch you. I go to the harvest point west of Alltrades Abbey and there's nothing at all no shiny dots and I haven't harvested there even once.

User Info: Jaiim. I had this issue too, only with Royal Soil. I went to the gather point for the first time and there was nothing there. When I came back later there was a single Royal Soil. When I went to go look for Lava Lump, same deal, nothing in the spot. I haven't gone back to check yet but I suspect it will show up eventually.
