Frania Hall May 8th, at am Slightly out of date now to reply to this one but I have been really enjoying the reviews, particularly being able to relive in some depth the plays I saw before; and, as always, I love the fact these reviews go deep into the detail of the play and the interpretations, comparing and contrasting other productions etc.
As Frankenstein, by contrast, he is both icy and frantic. Both actors are at their best in their passionate advocacy of social transgression and intellectual creativity. But my preference is for Miller as the creature and Cumberbatch as Frankenstein. With its aerial shots, hazy passages and delight in splashes of light, shots of a myriad glowing bulbs and red then phosphorous-blinding moments, this filmed record is enjoyable and occasionally almost enchanting.
